Recreate a special dog tag or add a message that's all your own!

This listing is for two identical stainless steel dog tags that come on a single 30 inch long ball chain. The second dog tag comes on a 4.5 inch long ball chain.

  • Up to 5 lines per dog tag
  • Lines will be justified left and in all caps
  • Only 15 characters per line, including spaces (first line works best with just 14 characters)
  • Can only use English Alphanumeric charaters, a period (.), a comma (,), and a dash (-). No other forms of punctuation are available on the dog tag machine. Any other characters used in an order will be deleted.

Dog tags typically contain the following information, but can be customized however you like:

  1. [Surname], [First Name] [Initial].
  2. [First Name] [Initial]. (if last name is too long on line 1)
  3. [ID Number]
  4. [Blood Group]
  5. [Religion] (or NO PREFERENCE)

The National WWII Museum has the right to refuse any orders with messages or materials it determines to be inappropriate.

    Received my dog tags in short time. They were exactly as expected. Very pleased with order and I would highly recommend ordering products from the museum.

    Nice Keepsake

    I purchased a set of dog tags as a keepsake to put with other photo's and memorabilia from my Father. He was a WWII survivor and was in Hawaii when Japan attacked Pearl Harbor. I really appreciate how you can replicate personal items such as this and they mean a lot to those who served as a remembrance and keepsake, especially for your loved ones, family, and friends. They make a great gift as well.

    I lost my dog tags when I got divorced 23 years ago. I sw the museum catalog replica tags and thought why not? The tags came in the mail within a 2 weeks of ordering, they are great. I can show my grandkids these along with my uniform and tell the tales of my youth.

    I am somewhat disappointed in what I purchased. First the dog tags look nothing like the original tags I wore when in the USMC. The letters are embossed opposite from my original. The letters are not embossed in a straight line and not all letters are empowered completely. The form I filled would not allow me to enter some information unless I placed periods after some of the information. The new dog tags are lacking the notch on one corner, which was always a great conversation topic. I think better quality control at the vendor would rectify most of the problems I have stated above.     I like tags and actually bought them to use as luggage tags. My only disappointment is that the S was left off the end of my last name. Maybe I miscommunicated or there wasnt enough room ? Not a big deal though. I will use them. Hope they can survive baggage handlers as paper and plastic sure dont !
