Developed by North American Aviation (NAA), the P-51 Mustang was an American long-range, single-seat fighter and fighter-bomber used during World War II by British and American forces. Mainly used in the European Theater of Operations as a weapon against the Luftwaffe, the P-51 Mustang didn't enter the Pacific Theater of Operations until the final months of the war.
Make sure to visit The National WWII Museum's very own P-51 Mustang located in our gorgeous Boeing Center at our campus in New Orleans, LA!
