Description

Rosie the Riveter Embroidered Patch

Rosie the Riveter was a popular icon of World War II and represented American women doing their part for the War effort. As men left to fight, women took over many jobs traditionally held by men, including heavy industrial work like the riveting, welding and building of military equipment and gave women a chance to prove that they were just as capable as men.

These women were known as "Rosies" and they forever changed the way women were viewed in America. Rosie the Riveter symbolized the strength and determination of the American woman and still does to this day. This patch is a reproduction of the original poster.
