This World War II themed chess set comes complete with American and German game pieces and a leatherette (faux leather) chess board, all made in Italy. This set also comes with backgammon pieces and has a backgammon board on the other side of the chess board.

A Wonderful Gift Item
My daughter has made a very detailed research of WWII. Impressive as she’s in her early thirties. This chess set struck me as a great gift idea for her. It was on back order but the Museum Store alerted me upon availability and I quickly ordered it. I carefully inspected it upon arrival and was very pleased with the entire offering. The item is exactly as advertised with a great board, chess pieces and storage area for same. This will be a meaningful and wonderful gift that I’m excited to give.
