Invasion Star Stripes Longsleeve White Shirt
This long sleeve shirt features a red and blue design that incorporates an invasion star across the front chest. The National WWII Museum logo is printed in blue on the back.
Most American military vehicles are painted with a star insignia to help distinguish friend from foe. For the invasion of Normandy, a large white star with a white circle was used. The star was also adopted by other western Allied forces in 1944 and became a ubiquitous symbol of the allied forces as they liberated Europe.
