During World War II, the military needed nylon for parachutes, and cotton and wool for uniforms, leaving civilians with fabric shortages. Women often sewed their own clothes and quilts, and repurposed older items. These earrings are based on an artifact in The Arsenal of Democracy exhibit at The National WWII Musuem.
Earrings are solid brass, electro-plated with non-tarnishing silver finish, and domed giclee print.
•Ear wires are Hypo-allergenic
•Earrings hang approximately 1.5"
•Made in the USA
